Xenoestrogens

Have you ever wished you could go back in time and tell yourself something you know now?

Me too! If I could tell myself anything it would be that reducing xenoestrogens would be the single biggest factor in balancing my hormones and getting my #PCOS under control.

So what are Xenoestrogens? They are a foreign substance that mimics oestrogen and binds to receptor sites in our body. In doing so, they block the oestrogen from binding to the receptors and doing its job. They’re often referred to as endocrine disrupters because they literally disrupt our endocrine system from working efficiently.

Where are Xenoestogens found? I’d encourage you to do some research on this. The following list is by no means exhaustive but gives you an idea of the everyday places Xenoestrogens are lurking:

  • Skin care products

  • Sunscreen

  • Deodorant

  • Cleaning products

  • Many plastics

  • Food additives

  • Building supplies

  • Insecticides

  • Emissions

If you’d like to learn how to detox your body of Xenoestrogens drop me a message.
